Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
Proverbs 27:1
This was the word I meditated on yesterday during my quiet time. We should really be careful in (vainly) planning for tomorrow. A good example would be, I thought and planned to finish at least 2 long videos when I arrive back in the Philippines. That would only take me a week to complete.
To our surprise, I spent most of my first week in the hospital, looking after my sister who was rushed to the ER. Praise God, she delivered her baby safely through a CS after 1 week. The short 2 days I’m in our house, I was exhausted from commute, thinking, and worrying.
My first week in the Philippines was very unstable and unplanned. Yet, God has taught me that I was where I was supposed to be last week — with my family. Even if that meant I missed checking things off my Week 1 to-do list.
Master’s
Before the night ended, I was still thinking of this verse “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” My mind have been in taking master’s for the past few days.
My heart is already set on a master’s program. And I’m already planning to inquire to the two schools I’m interested in.
But God, God is funny sometimes.
I think the Lord is leading me to enroll somewhere else. Let’s see how it will go.
If you’re reading my blog, please pray with me as God leads me to where I should take my masters.
